Sometimes the most beautiful textures and materials are hidden in plain sight. I love how this rough-hewn wood, reclaimed from a derelict barn in upstate New York, adds character to a Manhattan apartment. A stunning use for planks that would have ended up in a scrap heap—or even burned.
