When the designers at Studio Joon&Jung set out to create a small home speaker, they started with a blank slate—actually a bucket of white porcelain and some sticks. Dubbed “The Natural Speaker,” their creation is unconventional in every way. Its hand-cast ceramic cabinet is unusual in itself, but the designers say it produces a “natural feeling of resonance” rather than the clear highs and sharp bass of a traditional speaker. Whether or not the sound is your cup of tea, the look of the natural, recyclable porcelain is understated and lovely.
