With her Corky project, Vancouver-based designer Becki Chan explores repetition. “A simple object ruthlessly repeated can transform into an entity quite unlike the object itself,” she writes of her creation, which combines a side table and a lamp into one piece. The lampshade is made out of discarded cork from wine stoppers, not an easy material to work with. The results are unique and beautiful.
